Local artist Beth Fernandez began working with miniatures in 2020 as a way to keep occupied during the pandemic.
Her first efforts included a 1910 grocery store, bakery, and hidden library. Many dwellings later, Beth enjoys the challenge of working small.
Starting in December, the Altadena community will have the opportunity to view some of those efforts at the Main Library. Included in the exhibition are:
- A craftsman house similar to the Pasadena home Beth grew up in
- Mary Poppins’ home (when she wasn’t a nanny)
- and Mrs. Claus’ home & workshop
The art will be on display until to January 8, 2022.
