Altadena Residents Can Dispose of Tree Limbs and Other Storm Debris at Altadena Libraries, Friday, Jan. 28 – Sunday, Jan. 30

On behalf of Athens Services, both Altadena Libraries will have outdoor bins available for Altadena residents to dispose of green waste this weekend.

A bin at the west side of the parking lot at the Main Library (600 E. Mariposa Street) will be accessible:

Friday, Jan. 28: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 29 & Jan. 30: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, Jan. 30: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

The bin at the Bob Lucas Branch (2659 Lincoln Avenue) will be on the north side of the building and accessible from 10:00 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 30.

If the bins are full when you arrive, you can leave the excess debris next to the bin.

What is eligible for disposal? Any large branches or organic debris from last week’s windstorm are welcome. Christmas trees, grass clippings, and leaves are also acceptable.

What is not eligible? Construction debris and other bulk waste items. Please dispose of these through standard methods.
