A cloud-based application available on Apple iOS, Mac OS, Windows, Google Play, Amazon Fire, nook, and more, cloudLibrary by bibliotheca allows the Altadena Library to share materials with 25+ other libraries, giving our cardholders access to over 140,000 titles (compared to only 3,500 titles currently offered in OverDrive and Libby).
Here’s the timeline for this exciting transition:
- This week in OverDrive and Libby, the maximum checkouts per user will be decreased to one to allow us to perform the transition internally.
- We encourage users to download the cloudLibrary app this week and log in using your Altadena Library card. You won’t see many titles yet – don’t worry, we are still transitioning!
- On Wednesday, February 19, cloudLibrary will be stocked with the 3,500 titles carried over from OverDrive and Libby. OverDrive and Libby will no longer be accessible with your Altadena Library card.
- On Thursday, February 27, the transition to cloudLibrary will be complete, and users will have access to the 140,000+ titles available in the app!
