Stop by the Altadena Library to view “BeeSip: Native Bee Conservation & Photography ” in the Main Library Reading Court in July and August 2023.

Through artful photography, Krystle Hickman strives to increase awareness of the decline in native bee species as well as highlight their biodiverse ecosystems. She worked alongside Altadena Libraries’ Fab Lab staff to print her photos exhibited at the Main Library. The Fab Lab, which opened in December 2022, offers many creative tools patrons can use, including an Epson ET 8550 Inkjet printer with various paper sizes (up to 13″X19″). She utilized this to create high-quality prints that celebrate the details and colors in her photography.
