Community Requests
If you are looking to work with or partner with us, please fill out the community request form below. You are invited to use the form if you are:
A presenter—an individual, group, or organization—interested in pitching a public program (event) for the library to host and co-sponsor. Co-sponsorship means that the library will host the program at our facilities and may share program details through our promotion channels. Programs may include:
performances
talks/lectures
workshop/classes
other activities for the public
Requesting to use our facility. Community groups or organizations may request to reserve space in the library for a non-library event or meeting. The Altadena Library District has complete meeting room accommodations, the Barbara J. Pearson Community Room (called the Community Room for short), at the Main Library available for rental. Facilities are available to community groups after the needs of the Library have been met. Limited use for individual or commercial purposes is permitted if such use does not interfere with Library operations. (Click here for details on how to request the Small Study Room).

*Classroom: includes tables and chairs. A typical configuration would be 8, 6-foot tables with 45 chairs.
**Conference: includes only chairs, no tables.
The Barbara J. Pearson Community Room features ample floor space, a stage with curtain, projector and screen, and piano. The walls are often adorned with the art of local artists. The Library can provide folding chairs and 6-foot, rectangular tables. This space may be rented:
Monday & Tuesday: 10:00am – 7:30pm
Wednesday – Friday: 10:00am – 5:30pm
Saturday: 10:00am – 3:30pm
All events should be scheduled to end 30 minutes prior to closing to allow for breakdown and cleanup.
Asking for the Library to attend and provide outreach at community event. This is for individuals, groups, or organizations hosting a public community event that would like the library to provide outreach services at the event. Outreach services include tabling or attendance with one of the District’s two mobile library units.
Community requests are accepted up to 60 days in advance. Due to the volume of requests, we will need up to seven (7) business days to review your submission. We will be in touch with the status of your request once all of the appropriate staff members have reviewed. Thank you for your interest in the Altadena Library.
